I actually know a few high school and college wrestling coaches and they say it is still required by the schools that their students wear jocks -- although you are right, there are a variety of alternate supportive or protective gear out there these days (like UA!). Despite my show-of-shows, I don't think I would ever wear pantyhose in public as that would definitely say 'feminine' and 'gay' but I DO have about 6 pairs that I might wear underneath my business suits (lycra would be TOO hot) during those really cold winter days instead of longjohns. Skiers used to say pantyhose were an excellent means of insulation so what the hell. I know they're hot! Your fave gear? places to wear it? catalogs? websites?
