I went on a week-long business trip last week and was so busy with work at home, did not plan my day-by-day assortment of funwear to bring (as I have too many in my collection) but wound up with a few pairs of nylon lycra shorts (navy blue, marroon red, black, neon lime [Prevail compression shorts], a few microfiber boycuts (red, blue and yellow), a few squarecuts (turquoise/black/white, royal blue, black and black/red zebra) and matching tees and a few tank tops. I actually forgot to bring enough dress slacks, shirts, 'casual shorts' and dress socks but it worked out anyway. I did not know the 'bosses' were coming in from out of state too and would be staying at the same hotel and might 'catch me' but that didn't phase me. I was aware of the fact my male and female associates from throughout the country "might" see me in my gear at the hotel, etc., but never thought of my bosses. Most of them DID see me in my variety of lycra gear while I was having my smokes outside the smoke-free hotel before and after work, while getting coffee in the hotel lobby or just walking around the complex the hotel was situated in. I did not bring my car so they claimed to have seen me as they were driving to/from the diner or bar at night, eg. One associate asked me if I wanted to go get dinner and even though I was only wearing my navy nylon lycra shorts and yellow/navy tee, I went along anyway and we ate at an actual restaurant! One morning I was in my red microfiber boycuts and red tee having a smoke and one of my associates passed by -- he had just returned from being at a bar all night (and we were to report to the office in an hour!). Another time a few saw me in the hall and like many of the guests who saw me in my variety of fungear, asked me if I was going to the pool or excercise room! Mmmmm, good one there! They would ask me the next day in class 'how far did you run this morning?" or "where 'ya running tonight?" or "how many miles do you run in a day?" Yeah, right. So it turned out to be an OK week with no negative repercussions but I enjoyed being seen in other than a suit and tie!
