I got really excited when I saw more 'metallic' looking gear on various websites/catalogs, then 'microfibers' (a touch of lycra) and than boycuts (formerly woman's only low rise short short shorts that show some cheek and crotch) and knew from the start they'd become a hit. I know they continue to drive me wild. No matter what catalog you visit there seems to be a wide selection of 'boycut' shorts for guys which to me are a real tease. I have even worn them shopping on a few rare ocassions but oftentimes when outside my house having a smoke and just happen to 'have to' move my car, move the garbage pails back in the areaway, get mail from the delivery guy, etc. PrevailSports have a nice variety. Oboy has a new line, called Antik, especially featuring metallic boycuts (in addition to their already exciting gear) and I think its Olaf Benz that makes me cream in my shorts when I see their Inka line. Many call their low cut waist/high cut legs (0 inseam) by a variety of other names -- apropo shorts, low cut hip fitted shorts, etc., but I love them. I have no metallic ones yet but do have a lot of inexpensive woman's microfiber shorts. $3.00 a piece certainly beats $12-$20 a piece (for now). I'm certain I'll break down and invest in some of the genuine metallic boycut shorts soon, probably from Prevail as the other lines are way too expensive. Ironically, I'm an avid thonger to sun, microkini to swim but like at least arriving on the beach in provocative short shorts. I don't go for anything 'feminine' (lacey, frills, etc) so the solid microfiber shorts are kind of unisex (except there's little room for your schlong, so I get a size larger). I adore the slinky feel of the latest fabric but might also get some in more traditional lycra/nylon. I'm really shocked how many catalogs offer so much in the likes of short short shorts for GUYS! There must be a market for them after all. Right now I'm wearing solid neon lime microfiber boy cuts and see thru neon lime tank top. I did go shopping earlier but wore my neon lime/black zebra striped nylon lycra squarecut to the bank, shopping, etc.
